Dear Zack,

I wanted to write and let you know how pleased I am with Sawyer’s training.  While Sawyer was only a year and half, I had high hopes for his first duck season.   It is fair to say that he has exceeded all my expectations as a result of your training.

First let me start by saying that Sawyer’s obedience has made him an exceptional house pet as well as hunting companion.  Sawyer responds so well to commands that multiple members of my family can control him with ease.

Hunting with him this year has been a shear joy, not only for me, but for many of my hunting partners as well.  Many have commented on how well behaved Sawyer is while in the field – he heals on command and will not break until told to do so.  Furthermore, even when hunting with other dogs, Sawyer remained completely under control (even while the other dogs were not).

Sawyer’s marking has been exceptional as well.  Sawyer regularly marked and retrieved multiple birds that had been shot – even at great distances.   Furthermore, on just about every hunt, I was able to handle Sawyer to a downed bird that would almost surely been lost otherwise.

Thank you for all your work and I look forward to working with you in the future towards unlocking Sawyer’s full potential.

Regards,

David Adams

Yesterday was Ethan and Belle's first real hunt together. Ethan shot 8 dove and Belle retrieved them all - even a water retrieve. She also proved to be quite valuable retrieving a bird that was not quite dead. When Belle tried to retrieve the bird, it flew. She knocked it down with her paws but it still didn't stay down. Finally, she caught it in her mouth.

We are very pleased with Belle's performance and totally credit you with that performance. If you need a reference for prospective customers, we'd be glad to provide a glowing one.

Thanks,
Becky Koscielniak

Hey Zack,

I just wanted to drop you a line and say thanks for taking the time and sharing some of your tips with me. I spoke to you about my lab that was/is gun shy. I quit flooding my dog by forcing him to sleep with my shotgun and tried the method you told me about giving him a treat only when he sees the gun. I think it was last night or the night before, I was in my room and cycled my shotgun, Rudy(my dog) was in the kitchen with my and she told me he actually perked his ears up and started to come to my room. I have noticed a lot more results after speaking with you. I have not started with the pop gun yet due to the colder weather, but will be doing that as soon as the weather permits. For right now I will continue with the treats and praise while holding my shotgun.

Well once again thanks a bunch for taking the time to talk to me. You have made me find a new hope for a dog that I almost gave up on. I know the battle is just beginning, but I think I actually have a good chance of having a gun dog.

Thanks again,

Jason
